British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial (BAOMS) 2020 President Elect Rob Bentley has featured in this week’s BMJ Careers CV column.
The cranio-oral and maxillofacial surgeon says he is most proud of getting a helipad for King’s College Hospital where he is Clinical Director of South East London, Kent and Medway Major Trauma Network.
But, it was when he was in his last year at the University of Wales College of Medicine that he came across oral and maxillofacial surgery: “I remember being in an outpatient clinic, seeing patients with such a range of conditions, from head and neck cancer through to major facial trauma, and I thought ‘I want to do this’.”
