Oral and maxillofacial surgical (OMFS) trainee Ambika Chadha spoke at the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCSEng) Women in Surgery: Lift as you climb conference this week.
The key event brought together some of the most influential women in surgery, technology and business. They shared practical advice on how to climb the surgical career ladder and how to help others to do the same.
OMFS Ambika Chadha addressed the session on work life balance and flexible working together with Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT) President Deirdre Nally, and consultant vascular surgeon Felicity Meyer.
“The significant challenges I have faced in combining motherhood, surgery and academia have developed my resilience and resourcefulness over the years. Through shared experiences, I have benefitted immensely from the supportive networks of Women in Surgery (WinS) and the Society for Women in Maxillofacial Surgery (SWiMS).”
