Recommended Objectives - End year ST3

• Microvascular course
• 1 first author publication (case report or technical note acceptable, published abstract will not count)

Recommended Objectives - End year ST4

• Good clinical practice course
• Research methodology course
• Orthognathic planning course
• ATLS to be updated
• Audit of clinical practice to be completed (for instance personal case series of excision margins for skin cancers)
• 2 first author equivalence publication (1 case report or technical note acceptable, published abstract will not count, 2nd and additional publications must be first author or demonstrate significant involvement in publication)

Recommended Objectives - End year ST5

• Training the trainers course
• Cleft and Craniofacial placement (4 WBA CBD CEX signed off by supervising consultant)
• 3 first author equivalence publication (1 case report or technical note acceptable, published abstract will not count, 2nd and additional publications must be first author or demonstrate significant involvement in publication)

Recommended Objectives - End year ST6

• FRCS maxillofacial examination
• 4 first author equivalence publication (1 case report or technical note acceptable, published abstract will not count, 2nd and additional publications must be first author or demonstrate significant involvement in publication)

Recommended Objectives - End year ST7

• Management course
• PBAs to level 4 in index procedures (for example: fractured mandible, le fort 1 osteotomy BSSO osteotomy, cutaneous excision, neck dissection, microvascular anastomosis)
