Eight days left to donate to Norman Rowe triathlon fundraiser

There are only eight days left to support trainees Jim, Anand and Cristina who are doing a fundraising ironman challenge over three days is to raise £1,000 for the Norman Rowe International Educational Foundation (NRIEF). The intrepid trio will each do one of the legs of the challenge on the Welsh mountains (see below for more information) on the weekend of 7 to 9 July 2017.

NRIEF backs surgeons who provide health care support in regions that have been devastated by disaster or conflict. Recent NRIEF missions, initially led by Shakir Mustafa, Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon at the Cwm Taf University Health Board, have supported the restoration and development of the Nepalese health and surgical care system destroyed in the disastrous earthquake of 2015.

The ironman triathlon team:

7 July: Jim Higginson will swim 3.8 km in open water
8 July: Anand Kumar will tackle the 180 km cycle (through hilly Wales!)
9 July: Cristina Frezzini will run 42.1 km of the final day marathon
